Bringing fresh artistry to a beloved favourite, the Tipi Slipper now features a breathtaking floral print by Whitesand First Nation artist Shannon Gustafson, whose beadwork is deeply rooted in ancestral tradition. Her vibrant design celebrates the land, medicines, and plant life, symbolizing love, healing, and personal growth.
Crafted from soft, breathable suede and trimmed with luxurious fur, the Tipi combines tradition with comfort. A cozy fleece footbed keeps your feet warm year-round, while the supple suede sole offers a barefoot-style feel that naturally molds to your foot over time. Both meaningful and comfortable, the Tipi is more than just footwear—it’s wearable art.
About the Art
-
On Pattern:
“A color palette of the past, I say chi Miigwetch to my ancestors for leaving behind such artistry. You are the inspiration for my art. You have connected me with my identity, my people, my land, and just all of creation. My love for you all extends out to the universe.” -
On Beadwork:
“I didn't always love florals. I didn’t learn to love them until I learned to love myself. Like poetry, beadwork is the ultimate Indigenous form of personal expression. This work represents my love for the land, the medicines, and plant life. Beadwork is special, it is healing, it is love.”
