Our AuthenTEC Waterproof System draws inspiration from the traditional waterproofing methods of our ancestors, harnessing the wisdom of pine pitch and spruce gum. The Waterproof Snowy Owl Mukluk is skillfully constructed with waterproof suede, providing an effective seal up to 4 inches from the base. Embracing the heritage of our mukluk lineage, the footbed is lovingly lined with sheepskin, in harmony with all our mukluks, and offers remarkable cold resistance, rated down to an impressive -32°C.

Derived from the Indigenous lexicon, 'mukluk' signifies 'winter boot,' a term coined thousands of years ago by our ancestors, who ingeniously fashioned these boots from natural hides and fur to brave the harshest Canadian climates. The Snowy Owl Mukluk pays homage to our most iconic mukluk style, a treasured legacy passed down through generations. Today, as a contemporary Métis enterprise, we proudly uphold this tradition by amalgamating modern techniques and materials to create practical mukluks for urban settings. Our unique sole is the result of a collaboration between Vibram and a talented Indigenous artist, infusing artistry into every step you take.
